Car Insurance For 17 Year Olds - 5 excellent tips on finding cheap car insurance

A couple of years ago when i reached the age of 17 i was really excited and could not wait to begin taking my driving lessons. At that moment i did not really take into consideration the really high expense of car insurance for 17 year olds.

When i went for my test i passed the very first time, as you can amadgen i was ecstatic that was until i got my very first car insurance quote. After i had spent thousands on lessons i got a quotation of around £2,500 a year for a box standard 1400cc car.

After discovering the disgusting cost of young driver insurance i decided to search around to get insurance for as cheap as possible and decided to write some advice to help young drivers.

What effected the cost of young driver car insurance:

1. Where i live - I found that when i moved houses the car insurance dropped by a few hundred, Insurers price off statistics and things like theft will effect cost in a negative way.

2. Car insurance groups - The lower the group the lower the cost, for a new driver i would recommend getting a car from the group 1 insurance cars list.

3. Where you park - If you park on a road at night you will pay a lot more.

4. The policy type - There is three different types of cover which include fully comprehensive, 3rd party fire & theft and 3rd party. When getting quoted it can be worth checking all of them to make sure you get the best quote.

5. Yearly milage - The lower your milage the cheaper your quote.

So all in all you must shop around to get the best quote for yourself. On another note do not lie to insurers as this will void your insurance & make you uninsured.
